Tying the M-Wing Emerger
Dave Gamet ties his M-Wing Emerger pattern, which is a great fly for imitating emerging midges and baetis. Dave got his inspiration for this pattern from the popular Klinkhamer fly, and put his own twist to it. This fly is great all-purpose dry fly pattern, and makes a great indicator fly as well!
M-Wing Emergers Materials:
Hook: Daiichi 1160 Klinkhammer Hook
Thread: 70 denier Ultra Thread
Shuck: CDC or Sparkle Yarn or Z-lon
Abdomen: Stripped Peacock Herl
Wing: Medallion Sheeting
Hackle: Dun Whiting Hackle
Thorax: UV Ice Dubbing
