Snow melt and rain from last week‘s storm have made certain stream levels rise in the past day- Rapid Creek, Spearfish Creek, Castle Creek, and Spring Creek. Many Black Hills streams will have challenging fishing conditions for the next few days. Stay tuned for updates on stream levels around the Black Hills. However, lakes in the Black Hills have been fishing very well. The larger reservoirs of a Pactola and Deerfield are fishing quite well for rainbow trout. The smaller lakes throughout Custer State Park (Sylvan, Center, Legion, etc) are fishing quite well for rainbow trout. For anglers looking for options other than trout, pike fishing has been picking up. Pactola and Sheridan lakes have turned on in the last few days. We will update our report on stream flows by Monday or Tuesday.
