The CDC Mayfly Dun is an awesome all purpose mayfly dun imitation. This pattern is an easy and quick fly to tie but very effective. I use the CDC Mayfly Dun to imitate baetis, PMDs, and PEDs. It can be adapted to suit any small to medium sized mayfly. Dry with amadou and finish drying with frog’s fanny, top ride, or another desiccant.
